I can think of no better place to begin my first blog post, than with the Golden Triangle. I have a longstanding affinity to crystals, and their many properties and uses in all things esoteric, spiritual and healing.  Across two decades, I have worked extensively with this dynamic trio of crystals, in my professional spiritual healing and jewellery design work. Amethyst, Clear Quartz (Rock Crystal) and Rose Quartz are not only visually appealing and look good together with hues of Clear or White, Pink and Purple – but they are also pretty powerful independently and even more so when used together. More on this further on. 

In brief, crystals have their own energetic colour vibrational qualities, and of course, geophysical and chemical compositions. Crystals are constantly evolving and growing, which suggests that they have a life force of sorts. If crystals possessed zero properties, then they wouldn’t be used as widely as they are in modern society. Here are a few examples of some crystals and their uses:- 

• Quartz is used in watches and clocks to moderate and keep accurate time. 

• Sapphires, Garnets and Rubies are used in Lasers to amplify the radiation for different applications. 

• Kyanite is used in car battery spark plugs for ignition.

Crystals will directly affect and interact with other crystal energies, particularly in crystal grid formations, which is why the positioning and combination of crystals can be so powerful, and why the Golden Triangle is a favourite of mine.  Amethyst, Clear Quartz (Rock Crystal) and Rose Quartz, a miracle trio of crystals, and when placed together, are said to create a peak effective energy flow, which is ideal for your living spaces and for specific uses/reasons. Each individual crystal has its own properties and meaning, but when placed together, this dynamic trio will interact with each other to raise and maintain strong positive vibrations and aid in the manifestation of your desires through the laws of attraction and Feng Shui principles. Three is a powerful number, with many ancient spiritual, religious, and metaphysical connotations like ‘magic number three’, and ‘the holy trinity’. 

For balance and effectiveness, each Golden Triangle crystal should be of similar shape and size. If the crystals vary in size, either far bigger or smaller, the energy interaction between the crystals are imbalanced and therefore, optimum flow is not achieved. In this instance, size does matter, and all three crystals should be as equal as possible. As the name suggests, the ‘Golden Triangle’ indicates the correct layout for the three crystals, which should be positioned in a triangular formation, with even spacing between each crystal. A crystal grid is useful for this purpose, but you can intuitively position them by eye and place them where you wish around your home to generate optimum energy flow for cleansing, harmonizing and manifesting. 

TIP: I like to write my intentions on a piece of paper, then fold diagonally into a triangle shape once, then twice and then thrice. I then place a Golden Triangle crystal on each of the three corners of paper, which triangulates the crystal energy onto the written intentions in the centre. The crystals and paper can be kept anywhere you prefer like a shelf, windowsill or inside a drawer. Depending on what my written intentions are, I like to place the crystals and paper in a relevant position, e.g., Work & career intentions will be placed in the work & career section of the house or room as per Feng Shui principles. I also combine this practice with the relevant Moon Phase (New Moon for Manifestation and Full Moon for Release). Every step I take is meaningful and purposeful, and the crystals will continuously generate and build up energy flow. Like attracts like, so it’s a win win process in my opinion! You can leave the crystals to work for as long as you wish and you don’t need to change their position but do keep in mind that the area needs to be kept clean and tidy, so cleansing and charging the crystals and cleaning the area is important to allow for optimum energy flow and potential.

Based on their individual properties as listed below, you can see how powerful the Golden Triangle crystals become when they are put together (teamwork makes the dream work, cheesy but true):-

Amethyst: Known as the ‘Spiritual Stone,’ it is widely used for general healing, meditation and protection. Here are some of the many uses and properties of the Amethyst Crystal:-

• Soothes and calms the mind and raises the spirit. 

• Placing an Amethyst near your head, under a pillow or on a bedside table is said to promote intuitive dreaming and provide protection against night terrors and dark energies. 

• Clears, purifies and is said to help with addiction, stress and tension. 

• Said to aid with insomnia, grief and loss.

• Protects against negative vibrations, psychic attack and toxic energy. 

• Cleanses and energises the wearer and their personal spaces. 

Amethyst: Spirituality, Calming, Protecting. Chakra: Crown. Zodiac: Aquarius, Pisces, Gemini. 

Clear Quartz (Rock Crystal): This Crystal is such an important master crystal and cleanser, which can cleanse all other crystals and energy fields. Many spiritual healing practices like Reiki healing, Chakra Cleansing and Rebalancing will use a Clear Quartz crystal. Here are some of the many uses and properties of the Clear Quartz crystal:-

• Attracts and stores the power of light and energy. 

• A powerful, dynamic general healing tool which works on all levels. 

• Strengthens, cleanses and protects. 

• Said to purify the air and protects against harmful electrical vibrations. 

• Assist the wearer to think intuitively, developing mystical and spiritual gifts.

• Amplifies and transmutes subtle vibrations, ideal for spiritual healing and rebalancing. 

• Intensifies focus, directs and releases the higher consciousness.

Clear Quartz: Energy, Cleansing, Psychic Awareness. Chakra: Crown. Zodiac: Aries, Leo.

Rose Quartz: Known as both the ‘Love Stone’ and the ‘Venus Stone’ (same difference). Here are some of the many uses and properties of the Rose Quartz Crystal:-

• Attracts love and romance and is associated to ‘Venus’ the Goddess of love. 

• Promotes love, forgiveness, friendship, and inner peace. 

• Makes one more receptive to love and beauty. 

• Said to increase fertility and aid with menopausal symptoms. 

• Thought to be one of the best stones to use for migraines and headaches. 

• A powerful yet gentle crystal for healing inner wounds, like emotional trauma suffering, and calms the emotions. 

Rose Quartz: Love, Healing, Trust. Chakra: Higher Heart. Zodiac: Taurus, Virgo. Planet: Venus.
